I'll have to talk to the miller. I don't think that he is deaf. He is about eight years old, and has just has sinusitis!! He wasn't a happy cat then. genetics I suppose, Cro, as practically all gingers are Toms and tabbies are Queens
When I saw the first photo I actually hadn't realised it was not a porcelain cat! Yes you are correct that white cats can be deaf but that is usually linked to if they have blue eyes as well and it is definitely a genetic fault. They are also prone to cancer coz their pale skin burns easily when they bask in the sun - as cats do.

he looks like our white cats, the boys, brothers - now a few years gone but they could hear quite well. trip? where are you going? I need to catch up.
