I used to know a second hand book store owner. Above his desk in the front window was the mounted head of a stag he claimed to have shot. The stag was about eight or nine feet up a twelve foot wall. A gold wedding band dangled from the topmost prong of horn. The owner claimed to have tossed it there himself. I think he hung it simultaneously with hanging the trophy, but I never called his bluff.
