Colour

How exquisite is the colour of these?  So delicately blue. Old Cotswold Legbar hens.

I only bought these because they were reduced..but how fortunate to see them

  3. The first time and the last time i have had blue shelled eggs when i stayed in Dungeness for holidays, they are so amazing. I was recently given some white shelled eggs by one of my neighbours who has hens. I'm looking at some of your previous posts too, i also scour for places to forage for the future, looks like you've spotted some good sites. I hope to share them on my blog soon. Hope all is well with you.

  4. Our neighbour has a selection of 'odd' chickens with the most beautiful array of coloured eggs - but none that delicate blue💙

  5. We've bought those before too! I love the color. Chicken eggs are so fascinating -- the range of possible colors.

  6. I've also had green eggs, when purchasing at the Tailgate market rather than the grocery store. They all taste about the same to me...when scrambled. I now am skipping any salt on them, as well as butter. But sometimes I throw in a bit of cream cheese for the fun of it!. Blue eggs...who would have thought!

  9. I love the blue and blue-green eggs. I love the texture, the self containment, the shape and weight in the palm.
