Partial solar eclipse

 

Before 



During...the clouds were not much help, but the light noticeably dimmed, even with only a 25% eclipse




After...it was brighter than the image appears .

Apparently the further north you were, the more obvious it was..the best place being mid North Atlantic!!

    I didn't even know it was happening until a kid came into the library and said he'd watched it with his class.

    I love things like that. Once when my children were in school, there was a solar eclipse. I was shocked to find out that the school's plan was to keep them all inside and pull the blinds. I went to school and signed them out. We went to the nature center and sat in the dunes with a pinhole view. Still one of my favorite memories.
