What is the significance of the train? I had to go off and read about tsunamis. I didn't realize that NZ deals with one, one average, ever 10 years. In thinking about that, I probably should have.
There is something deep that always draws me back to the sea m’dear, guess that I’m just a primitive little bugger when all is said and done…and to echo Debby, what is it with the burrowing train?
I'll have to investigate that one...there was a train disaster a long time ago, torrential rains and a lahar and a bridge washed away..the train went into the river... could be that....
I really am, Cat. I'm working hard on getting back healthy and fit again...and it is hard work, but it is a beautiful place to do it...and amongst friends as well
Fascinating photos and history. I hate graffiti though, cannot see any point in defacing things like that. The upturned train, yes, that is really a curiosity!
Hi, I've removed word verification...so if all goes well I'll leave it off..... Please leave a pebble in the pool ((o)) even if you don't want to comment, it is nice to see where you all come from! Thanks!
What a beautiful place to ride and enjoy the sunshine.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the seat made to look like a boat. Very clever
knock on wood tsunamis aren't an issue here in my little paradise.
ReplyDelete((o))
ReplyDeleteOh, how I would just love to see the sea!
ReplyDeleteThe views are beautiful. The mountains and sea make a great landscape. Cliffs next to the sea are always fascinating. NZ offers much beauty.
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely. Have you tried the Alps to Ocean in the south? A bit longer.
ReplyDeleteNo, we never have.
DeleteJust done a little on the Hauraki trail twelve years ago
What a beautiful trail to ride.

ReplyDeleteThere can be a fine line between just graffiti and wall art....or murals...
