Organised!!

A literal line full of washing out on the line before breakfast....car down to the garage for MoT not long after 9am....the shepherds ready for ironing when I walked back up.the hill.

As usual, housework gets done right after breakfast...then I can relax!!

Today's work, done in short stretches ..was to cut the " heron " block...

And here it is...I'm not used to colour, but I think that it is ok

And the car passed its test .. relief!!

    1. Oil based usually Hawthorn..I've got some Loxley which is reasonable. Not entirely impressed by Speedball.
There was another which I thought I'd got a tube to try but I can't find it!!
At present I'm using stamp pads...it usually dries quickly, especially the black

    2. Thanks. Do you ink the stamp pads with the oil-based inks? That sounds like an interesting option…

    3. The stamp pads come infused with ink. I wouldn't add any ink to them

  3. I always wondered about the tools you use for carving blocks. Now I know. Inuit used soapstone for their blocks and still do.

  5. The heron is really nicely done.
Knowing the car is in good working order means reliability and that's always important.

  7. Beautiful work. Very talented indeed.
I’m like you. Mornings are for what I have to do, and then the rest of the day I do what I want to do

  8. There’s something so rewarding about ticking off all those tasks, and the heron block turned out beautifully—colour and all. And congrats on the car passing the test! A little relief goes a long way.

  10. I love your birds. But I admit to not getting the reference to the 'dum dum dum dum diddly dum' (or whatever it was...). I even googled it.
