Not the best

A wasted day on one way.

Gallery duty day. Out at 8.20am

Damp, chilly, late buses.....

The barley field by the path on the way down

But...talking to people, encouraging artists....

I find it hard work, all this "peopling" even though it is doing good for others, which is satisfying....

Thirty-five minutes wait for the bus... instead of nearly twenty-five.  Missed connection so almost another half an hour.

Home before 7...just.....

Heat up cooked potatoes and runner beans, add salad and fluffy microwaved "omelette..more like a mini soufflé....

Dishes done... correspondence checked...bed by 9.    Duolingo....then lights out.

  2. Don't you despair sometimes of the hours that disappear fro. lufe waiting for publuc transport? I do/did. I always carried knitting wirh me so it didn't feel so lost without account.

    1. Definitely! I don't think that I could do anything like that though..I'd be too likely to concentrate on that and miss the bus!

  3. I make my omelette in the same way. Quick and easy with little mess to wash up.

  4. "People-ing" can be a drain. Back when I was still working, having to be on my toes with clients left very little head space for socializing..
Toes crossed it was a good night's rest.

  5. As two Aussie women who visited. We were amazed at just how efficient your public transport was. Here in Australia, unless you live right in the middle of Melbourne, you only get a bus every hour. And that’s if your lucky.
Where I live, an hour south of Melbourne, we only get one of two busses a day.
The trains are slightly better. Especially during the peak times. But then they go back to every hour.
It adds so much time to your day. Kinda why we all love our cars.
    It’s just not reliable.
It’s nice to get back home where it’s warm and dry.

  6. Getting home at 7 pm makes a long day. I'm glad you do not go to the gallery daily, the fewer days the better.
