Wet ...but ok

 It has showered on and off all day!

Starting at dawn....8.30

Then at9.15

We tried a walk just before lunch...but got a bit wet! But it was good to see a friend of my friends..a crofter..who also makes dentures in a small lab by his house.

And this was the view at 1 pm...so the decision was made, indoor bowls in the clubhouse ( short mat). Good company, good fun....in the dry!

JayCee I didn't do too badly...it is a year since I played...here in Stornoway...and that was the first time ever! It was three bowls each..three pairs..on each of the two mats.

I managed one decent shot most times..we won't talk about the others!!

There was the hope of seeing an aurora tonight...but in the gaps in the clouds an almost full moon is shining...not much hope to see anything.

 Living room hopefully finished, as far as the yellow is concerned... because I'm wondering if a darker colour both sides of the chimney breast might make the room feel bigger... Excuse the stacked up clutter...

I'm thinking possibly the terracotta red of the chairs in Charleston Farmhouse painted by members of the Bloomsbury group. 

the other side of the room is improving...and life will be even better when the "elephant in the room" has departed!!

The next things to go on sale will be the TV that I haven't used for 18 months and the sideboard that I'm gradually emptying. I'd like tall cabinets with glass doors to keep dust out...then my pot collection can be seen!

The bookshelves are looking better..less "temporary filing" on top of the books! Plus some larger pots on the top shelf 

Time to do my French practice...then pack my bag for tomorrow's bus and ferry trip...I need to be out at 7 at the latest for the 7.11 bus...in case it is early!!
