Yesterday I did my first gallery duty day.
Travelling by buses....no point using the car if you have a bus pass and not a lot to carry!
I makes for a long day ..but it makes sense.
I topped up my cards...but found that I was down to one which is a view of Arran through a Culzean courtyard archway. and the chook cards had all gone!
Both were remedied this afternoon after I'd done half an hour on the turbo...I'd waited in for a delivery while it was sunshine and showers...and it was getting windier and colder!
View from the turbo...with bread trays protecting the garden from feline attention!

I know the feeling. I keep telling myself that it is enough that they are happy in their chosen lives. Sometimes it is enough.
ReplyDeletethey all expect me to visit them.
DeleteThat is good at least.
DeleteWhat a fabulous mish mash of garden sheds you have in your serviceable back yard …..is the little one on the right and the one next to it with the greeny blue side yours or next doors? Do people in that area ‘sit outside at all’ or would that be done closer to the back door?
ReplyDeleteno, they are all mine!..not the one to the left of the shot, that is a neighbour's garage.
Deletesitting out is usually nearer the back door..unkess you have a "sitooterie"
A very wet and windy weekend in store. Good to see you have weighted down those bread trays with bricks!
ReplyDeleteSo glad the cards have been a success! This Storm Dave isn't doing much down our way. We've got gray skies and cool temperatures but no rain.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have alot to do in the wet weather which is typical of Spring. Hopefully your family gets into gear to visit you for a change.
ReplyDeleteThe garden looks terrific. Using trays to protect plants is a good idea. I always hate losing plants so any protection I can provide is important.
ReplyDeleteOh how I'm discovering that feeling. I'm not forgotten; I have the sympathy cards, whats app condolences, mother day card, birthday cards, flowers, now an easter egg and "you know, you're welcome to come up any time"
ReplyDeleteBut at the end and beginning of each day there's just me.
sending virtual ((hugs))
Deleteit is hard sometimes
Now that is a busy (and no doubt productive) little space down there! You must be full of plant plans going into your springtime.
ReplyDeletefull of plans awaiting some warmer weather!
DeleteFresca here—not blogging myself but keeping up with you and a few others—I love to see your artwork and your other goings-on.
ReplyDeleteI have a “borrowed” child—Marz came to me at 20–now she’s in another city, studying history, with a romantic partner—and I get to experience that parental kind of happiness for her —plus sadness she’s not actively much in my life anymore
good to hear that Marz is doing well. Yes it is sad when children drift away..they have their own lives.
DeleteI enjoy the bus, it feels real and connected. Loads of people around me turn their noses up at public transport.
ReplyDeleteit looks like more people are using the buses now. Here it is free for -22 and 60+ anyway, but there are still those who wont...yet.
DeleteI like bus and train teavel..more social, but you don't have to socialise!!
