New storage jar shapes
Now what is in there?!!It always seems so little when it gets onto the wareboards..one shelf per board...but here it all is, with more behind awaiting firing.
Now to see if I can get that last jar lid off, and to pack those for posting....if they're cool enough!!

ReplyDeleteHave you thought of making honey pots? Taller than the bee pots and straight sided that honey could be served from? A bee on the lid for a handle, and maybe one or two others stuck on the pot for decoration. They would be so lovely in that lighter brown like the impressed mugs. (and maybe "Hunny" stamped on the side? --LOL) Also if the salt pots were rolled over a little more upright so their openings were higher up, and their bodies were a little more "potbellied" (rounder and deeper), with a small notch or depression in the lip where a spoon handle could rest, jam or jelly, or honey, or even sugar, could be served from them. Molded fruit cut in half and stuck on for decoration -- and maybe a bee or two. If they were a little more upright, they could also hold a lid so that contents could be stored as well as served. I like the "pot bellied" storage jars. It's a lovely shape. And what about spoon rests, where you could lay a spoon you're using for stirring -- so it wouldn't make a mess on the cooker top or countertop? You might try one or two -- Are you still making yarn bowls?

WOL, The Bee Boxes have worked well, honey jars are being considered, as are taller salt pots-but the beauty of the small ones is that there is a minimum of turning after throwing, and the only addition is the knob. We'll see!
