What a terrible sad shock for you GZ. But of course you carry Pirate inside you for eternity, their presence lives on. They are like spirit-souls. Stay strong. xxx
I'm so sorry. I never met him but feel I know him a little bit from your stories of your travels and adventures and he seemed well named The Pirate. I won't try to give advice everyone is different and will grieve in their own way but will hope that the many friends you have online and in person will be a comfort to you. Jessica.
I'm so sorry to read this. I am a latecomer to your blog, so don't know of the adventures you had together but it sounds like you had a wonderful life together, and the Pirate was quite a character.
If I lived anywhere nearby, I'd be over in a flash to give you a big hug, and some tissues. So sorry we're only connected through the net...but I do feel I've known your Pirate through your love shown here on your blog. What a wonderful companion he's been, and a true athlete! Thank you for sharing so much of your lives together, so I can know a bit of how rich these times were. Everything we are saying now is but a drop of compassion, and can easily be forgotten. But your dear Pirate will live on in your memory.
So sorry. My most sincere condolences to you, Gwyneth. You made Pirate a friend to many of us who never met him and we all mourn his loss. Bruce (Catalyst) in Arizona.
So sad to hear this gz. I've been away from Blogger for most of this year. You have my deepest sympathy. May your pirate rest in peace and live on in your memory.
I'm very sorry. I've read your blog off and on for only a few months and not commented before. I could tell from your writing that he was a very special person. His passing is a huge loss.
only just caught up on your posts, thinking of you and very sorry to read that Pirate has passed, thank you for sharing your journey. Blessings to you. Betty
I have only read this today, as I have not been looking at blogs for over a month - life has been so busy here (it is nothing serious, but very, very time consuming). So I was so saddened to learn today that Pirate passed away over two weeks ago.The pair of you always seemed such good companions - indeed, soulmates - and you had so much fun together over the years. I have been reading your blog for a long time and have quite a picture of what he was like. I am glad that he worked so hard to stay kind and helpful and was able to remain "himself"and reach out to others right up to the last days.
It's been so hard for both of you, and now you are being practical and brave. As with anything very tough, please be very kind and gentle with yourself too. And please accept my very sincere condolences. Jenny
Hi, I've removed word verification...so if all goes well I'll leave it off..... Please leave a pebble in the pool ((o)) even if you don't want to comment, it is nice to see where you all come from! Thanks!
