Day 2 on Lewis

It started like this again...but with even less visibility!!

It was quite warm, but it was raining..had been most of the night...and the wind itself was cold!

Definitely an indoors day, the highlights being catching up with mutual friends...I hadn't seen them for eight years, almost!!

Then on to Stornoway to An Lantair.."The Lantern"...gallery, bookshop, café and cinema....where we watched the 1940 film of John Steinbeck's book "The Grapes of Wrath".

A classic...with a constellation of stars...

Which should be required watching everywhere...

  2. Definitely sounds like an inside day.
I do like that misty look. Especially from a window

  5. I'm sure I've seen The Grapes of Wrath, but it will have been a long time ago! Enjoy your holiday and the company of friends, not to mention the gallery and bookshop!

  6. Misty and moody but very cosy indoors I expect.

  8. Fog is eerie and damp limiting distant views. You'll appreciate some sunshine when it returns. Until then, enjoy your day.

  10. The Grapes of Wrath is a terrific story. Now that I think of it, I don't think I've ever seen the movie.
