Skies , cycling, gardening

 Yesterday's sunset

And today from Prestwick prom

If you enlarge it a bit you can see Arran in the haze....just!

I went to Prestwick in the car, and rode up to Troon and back...only ten miles, but good to settle back into riding Pirate's Eroba road bike.

What inclines there were, were much easier than last year...the results firstly of two months in NZ and secondly of somehow getting back to the weight I was when I returned from there!   Incentive to do more riding and walking....having numbers that start with 7 instead of 8 is a moral boost!!

I mowed the grass last night, and this evening I've started potting on, and pricking out seedlings.  More to do tomorrow.

  1. That was me today. Potting on. I also had to water twice. It's good to diversify your day.

  4. Nice ride. My road bike is hanging in a shed. I need to get fat tyres and not looking forward to that but our road demands nothing less - and it's 10 miles one way to get to a sensible road. Can't find a cycling club around here for love or money. Apparently there are tide-out groups of friends but you have to know them to find and hook up with them. There are also lots of e-bikes here and fewer restrictions on power and speed than in UK - so many aren't cycling at all; simply coasting along on an electric motorbike. Ho hum.

If you hear of Magpie garden maintenance in Blenheim, Sheldon is good..a hard worker, used to be a WOOFER..did his OE that way..plus riding his bike!

  6. I've been absent from blogs but I'm back and I enjoyed this one with the beautiful photos. I'm getting back into shape, too. I took SWMBO on a long drive today! Ha!

  7. I just could not bring myself to mess with seeds this year. Maybe when I retire. :)

  8. What a lovely surprise to come home to, popping seeds and sprouting potatoes. I got down to a 7 but am back in the 8 trying to turn the barge around - I probably need to add exercise into the good intentions!
