Before..and after
Finished just as a short shower arrived.
The Gean has fruit this year!...only about half a dozen, but it is a start.
The blackbirds have started on the currants. So I picked those nearly ripe...and the alpine strawberries. Birds don't do sharing..peck and run merchants!! I wouldn't mind so much if they did eat the fruit, but much id just spoiled and on the earth.
Then the Clydeside sky at almost 10.30...what a difference a clear day makes!

What a difference in the walkway when it's cleaned up.
I hadn't heard of a Gean but Mr. Google tells me it is a cherry (obvious when you look at the fruit.
Thanks Susan for telling me about geans...another person in the dark as to that name. Yes, birds do like to indulge on our fruits, and make messes too! Good work on your walkway...and not using chemicals!
The only way we can get fruit. Is to cover the trees with netting.
I’m sure birds have a social media of their own. One finds the tree and then the next thing you know there are dozens of birds stripping all the fruit from the tree

The wildlife do not share when it comes to fruit. It is first come, first serve.

I have never heard of a Clydesdale sky - I know about mackerel skies and horses tails and have a smattering of stabbing at what type of cloud is what, but that is new to me. What does it mean? As to the birds - my Dad currently has a vendetta against the crows and their wanton damage to his grapefruits. Touch wood my citrus 200km away are unscathed.
Clydeside... because this part of Scotland is beside the Clyde..also called the kingdom of Strathclyde, strath being a Celtic word for an area of flatter land.
If you look at the row of lights in the picture...then a little further up...that is the river
