Productive

More unearthing and sorting today, going through old laptops and another box of bits...and found an unused Fitbit that Pirate hadn't wanted to use....so we activated it....if nothing else it will be interesting to see how it gauges my sleep quality..or lack of it!!

We had a walk around Hannahston then across to see how the hedgerow apples are doing...looking hopeful!! Back to the house... nearly 5,000 steps already!

Bro carried on computer sorting...I have one laptop he can use to properly learn Linux...I hadn't realised that that still worked..but not on its battery..and at last he found the way to get my new laptop to talk to the printer!!

Then we sorted through some clothes of Pirates that he will use, and fit him well.

Whatever I pass on in any way I like to have it used and appreciated!

It was a chance to get a second opinion about some things as well..and they are in the bin!

I've been messaging with my Friend in France too...working out where we will go when I'm there....the latest choice is the Lascaux caverns... especially as he has never been their either.  I have been looking at the Michelin guide to the area as well...looking for things that are not religious buildings...the guide seems to be full of them!!

A late night tonight, but a lot done.

Not forgetting the cake....from Ireland!

I find the communication between laptops and printers somewhat picky sometimes, especially if they are wireless.

It is all coming along well, plans and achievements. Plus CAKE!!

Yes, with the last laptop I had to resort to emailing the printer! Bro has set it up to be wireless or wired as required.

You and your brother are making great progress organizing and tossing/donating/selling things no longer required.
The cake looks terrific.
Planning for a trip to France sounds ideal.

I just read about the Lascaux caverns in one of Martin Walker's "Bruno" books. I'd first become familiar with them in art history classes and then over the intervening decades forgot about them. Now I'm am so fascinated. I'll look forward to hearing more about them through your eyes.

Never forget cake! Your get-go is amazing.
Was going to garden today but it's too wet to do much, but no rain, which we don't really need, but is always welcome.

Glad you got the laptop-printer connection sorted! I like your orchid photo. I rarely get to see those in or around London.
