Sunday last day

A wet start...but just fine mist by the time I ventured over the bridge to the main campus .

The first kiln to open was Joe Finch's

Scully's cousin?

Then the kiln made from recycled things.. including an old electric kiln...

I had a quick look at the small kilns on the patio..

But Euan Craig's kiln was the star. As is the man himself!!

And now after the final presentation

And now after the final presentation

Time to sit and think

And let the crowds thin out a little...the café is open for another couple of hours...I'll have an early supper in a little while.

I think I've done enough peopling for a while!!

And for Tigger's mum.....

I had no idea potters could take their kilns along with them. That's just astonishing.

Definitely!

Joe Finch and Euan Craig used bricks that are kept here at the Arts Centre, the others did bring their own smaller kilns

Oh crikey I studied those images with interest. I just love simple bowls I can hold in two hands - eat from, drink from, dip bread or buttered toast into.... It's about the tactile appeal as much if not more than the visual. (Scully disowns any relationship to the small decorative k9 - reckons it probably couldn't bail a rabbit and has probably never dived in a muddy ditch). Thanks for the link - lots that is interesting for when the build pressure eases.

Seems like an excellent festival that brought lots of very talented people together. Lots of inspiration and sharing of expertise. Euan Craig has a Facebook page and his pottery is amazing. Love the Japanese influence!

I've been Euan Craig's friend on Facebook for years...probably after he stopped blogging. So glad he came to the festival...it does sound like a great time...and yes crowds! Time for some alone creative time, I'm guessing.

Wow - things have been busy there - I too have been busy (hence not visiting/commenting on blogs) but nothing as entertaining as all of that. I had no idea that there were pottery gatherings - blown away by some of the outcomes.

Thankfully Euan does occasionally blog..but yes, usually just fb and insta
