Yesterday was the day to pack up the work from the Barony Centre exhibition, and return it to the Smiddy Gallery at Culzean.
Quite a long day...and added up to a lot of driving in the end...about ninety miles..but at least it was mostly dry at each stop made.
Sadly no sales ..but the display at the Smiddy is looking healthier now!
The blacksmith (Ben Wynn) had made a new display for the glass artist (Andrew Barham) to display his suncatchers. The other pieces are made by Andrew as well.
Not my photo...but what gets put on our group chat turns up in my photos thanks to goggle...(I do a lot of deleting otherwise my allowance would get filled up even faster!)
Back home..and my neighbour had rescued my washing as the wind had been strong enough to dislodge the prop to the line! No damage to line or prop and the washing was safe on the line...and nicely "ironing dry".. probably not for the first time in the day!!
Then the second batch of juice bottling and processing, and a combined quick leftovers supper...potatoes and runner beans from the garden with pinto beans in tomato sauce ( made with home-grown onions and garlic)
Sounds like a busy day. Love the displays, your work and the suncatchers etc. You have a good neighbour. I am back to drying washing on the hanging rack in the Utility (which is over the central heating boiler so dries nicely.) Your home-grown supper sounded good.
ReplyDeleteYour bowls are looking stunning. Time must be flying - it seems only last week you were posting about getting started again - now exhibiting.
ReplyDeletePacking and unpacking with care would be time consuming. No wonder you had a long day.
ReplyDeleteLovely blue colouring of the urns and bowl with a fluted rim
Your pottery is lovely. As the holidays get closer, sales are more likely.
ReplyDeleteI hope so
DeleteLovely work, I especially like those lidded jars,
ReplyDeleteDo you do mail order? That first urn is sublime
ReplyDeleteI'll message you
DeleteDuh just found your website xx
ReplyDeleteLove your pots. Another busy day. Now I know why GZ.
ReplyDeleteI chose Zoë when I was 3 years old....I don't know where from....but it suits me....and I couldn't have my brother with three more letters in his name...he is known by his middle name as he got that when we moved to England.... until he decided that it wasn't Kim it was Arkimedes....from the Owl in the cartoon film Sword in the Stone....I gave up on the numbers game then 😄
DeleteYou did some serious driving. Now days that would be enough to floor me for days. It’s lovely having nice neighbour’s that are helpful. It’s getting rare these days
ReplyDeleteOoooo the blue pot especially. And the one with the piercings!
ReplyDeleteCeci
I like the colours of the pottery, I don't often see green on them.
ReplyDeleteYour work is radiant.
