Using the new "toy" !

when bro was here I bought a new strimmer...and today I used it!!

The grass needs to dry out then I can cut it again, hopefully with the push mower in most places.

A bits and bobs day again.

I started dismantling a handlebar, brakes, shifters and gears set...that had been left absolutely filthy!! That was a serious cleaning job!

The view at 8pm....I'm feeling tired earlier too!!

  1. WOW to that grass. I look forward to the day we can strim like that and not bend the blades on partly (or largely) submerged rocks. (Still on blades here, even the toughest string with teeth on it won't touch the bracken stems let alone gorse and blackberry). I know what you mean about sleep coming on earlier as the nights draw in. Dramatic sunset however.

    1. Yes, I think you have to forget strimmer and plastic string... isn't the heavy grade one called a bushwhacker?

  2. You manage to always find something that needs doing. It has been so dry here that there has been no need at all for mowing. Rain this week though!

  3. Wow it looks fantastic.
Your days are growing shorter and ours longer. I just hope the weather heats up and we can start to enjoy being outside again

  4. Fresca here.
Those tools look so fun to use! I never have, so I’m a little envious. Reminds me of the satisfaction of power (water) hosing.
