Anniversary

Pirate left two years ago..it seems an age yet no time atall.

So not much done today. Being quiet.

I needed and wanted a walk..but the weather didn't agree until teatime!!

I didn't go the whole way round..it was muddy enough where I did go!!

Photo #5 is the classroom for the local school and groups. The last one is the hide with bird feeders to the left. A pity they didn't make it two sided as deer go across the space behind!

  1. It seems like yesterday that Pirate was still active.

    1. it really does. He kept as active as possible and in contact with everyone as long as he could

  2. Grief is a strange beast. It softens with time yet never goes away.
The hole is always there and it aches xx

  3. Much sympathy, albeit from a stranger! 😢

  4. It doesn't seem possible that it has been two years. You have filled your days with so much creativity and friendships that it has passed so quickly.

  5. Not an anniversary to celebrate and I understand taking a reflective day. The gorse flowers made me go and look up gorse flower wine (we've plenty here but not really the facilities for brewing and fermentation).

  6. Anniversaries of sad events hit hard. I don’t care how long ago the loss happened. It will always be a hard day to get through.
I’m glad you had the chance to get out. At least for a little while
What is that little building all by itself?
That would make a perfect craft/art room

    1. it is a classroom for the village school and local groups so that they may study nature

  7. I like the idea of schools studying nature by being in nature. Here, kids seem to learn about it from books, and that is a different kind of understanding.

    Hugs to you.

  8. I'm a couple of days late to this but still sending hugs because I know that grieving, loss, missing someone doesn't end the day the anniversary is over, whether it's the first, tenth or twentieth. I'm glad you were gentle with yourself.

Please leave a pebble in the pool ((o)) even if you don't want to comment, it is nice to see where you all come from!
Thanks!
