I was sure that it was Wednesday

Another clear and sunny day here, and quite hot at lunchtime!! I shaded the small plants in the greenhouse and the door and window stayed open all day..

Back to throwing today, just wee ones to start with, a few in the morning then more in the afternoon when the heat eased a little.

I planned to finish them tomorrow and move on to bigger pots....and do my homework for Friday's conversation.

I've just realised that it is Friday tomorrow!!!! That means an earlier start..and no throwing until Saturday!!

It's so easy to get the days mixed up, isn't it!

the process is time consuming but the creation is worth it.

It is quite a surprise when a sunny week slips by so quickly. Working with the greenhouse plants and getting back to throwing smaller pots creates such a productive rhythm, even if the afternoon heat requires a little break.

Adjusting to an earlier start for your Friday conversation will be a change of pace, but those bigger pots will be a great project to look forward to this weekend. The transition from small to large scale work is always an interesting challenge for a potter. I have posted a new entry on the blog that you are invited to browse.

I never remember what day it is. I have to constantly check on my iPad or phone
Glad the weather is getting better for you

I hate it when I lose track of days!

It is easy to lose a day, and I think it happens to all of us occasionally.

Public holiday here today so I have the day off but tomorrow is probably going to feel like Friday.

hot days must mess with being a potter - other things must just have to work around the demands of the clay
