Gardening went very well today...drive swept, gate de-ivied then patio cleaning started together.. One with the scraper and the other with the yard brush!!
Then off to Margate to see two cousins...and boxes of photos and certificates!!
There were originals of some that I have...and hooray....names on the reverse!!
A relief to know that with one photo..they were who I'd worked them out to be !!
We left at half eight as dusk was drawing in...past Dreamland all lit up, over the road from the sea...
And we were both buzzing after nearly three and a half hours of looking at photos and chatting!!

Names witten on the back of old photos can be a godsend for identification!
Isn't is great to solve family photo mysteries! I had that job for Mr B’s mother's suitcase full of photos and realized the family had another brother that no one had talked about (moved to Australia).

ha ha - we are going through V's Dad's photos, and there are many unidentified photos, including some with the very helpful "your Mom" on the back of them - we assume his mother, but could be his mother's mother or a cousin's mother or hmmmm - but the ones that we know are his mum shows that she was very much her own character! It sounds like a marvellous day.
Your research is impressive. Working through the photos with relatives must bring many good memories as well as identify more names, dates, and locations. Your photo collection seems massive, going back many years.
I renember Dreamland from when I went to Margate! Always good to have IDs for people in pictures.
