This and that

rear of house view....then the view from the front !

That was Sunday night.

In the morning I rode over to the community café in a village we used to live outside...aiming to meet a local bike club on their run.

It is good to see the café popular....a group of four cyclists arrived just after me....and then the group of ten I was to meet. We had a table set upstairs!! Which probably would have been used again soon after as there was another group of ten on their way!!

Today was bright and sunny.... with a bitterly cold wind...

A trip to town on the bus... another bus to the shop....and back in just over two hours..not bad going!

As the wind was so cold I finished cleaning off the garlic in the greenhouse!!

Then braved the wind to pick the last of the gooseberries.

Fruit processing tomorrow.

Unseasonably cold weather at this time of year is very unpleasant.

You're lucky to have such good bus service.

It's very strange to think of you being so cold that you could not work outside. Eek. Is your weather there always this variable?

Being on the western fringes of an island off a continental mass...yes! And climate change doesn't help

We really are.... every half hour between 8 and 6 with a couple earlier and later...the half of the route going further out past us lost half it's service a couple of years ago

It is certainly so

It was extremely windy here yesterday but not so cold. I hope you warm up soon!

I can’t believe your having cold weather.
All over the news we have been told it’s extremely hot in the uk.
I guess you can always keep warm. It’s harder to stay cool.

It was chilly here too this morning. I was out in shorts and a t-shirt and I was cold!

cafes that have embraced cycling groups seem to do a roaring trade on certain days. I was surprised by the number of places that declined to receive our cycling group (never an embarrassment because the leader always had it planned and booked if necessary, in advance). I guess some just didnt like all the bikes around. One of the best was at West Stoke - they got big groups of road cyclists as well as groups of off-roaders coming off the South Downs Way.

I would welcome your cool weather. It is between 90 and 100 degrees F. Being outside is uncomfortably warm. Thursday the heat is to decline. Let's hope!

Sorry the weather has been tricky. The bus thing sounds promising!
