Completing steps and planning

 The patchwork makes progress!

One more corner to do..and I pinned the strips for the two triangles that make the last corner before supper..and started sewing after...to a programme about the river Test this time!

This afternoon's clay work was finishing off the glaze test bowls..these are not just to check colours and fluidity, but to see how they go on a "piecrust" rim..

And to try some different shapes as well!!

I've done a test bag pack for Wednesday....I'll see if there is a small enough vacuum bag that will work inside the bag..But no worries if it won't.  Every time I review the contents they reduce. No bad thing!

  2. Your quilt is turning out beautifully! I am not a good packer. My daughter does an amazing job. Of course, like you, she has had a great deal of practice.

  3. My late mum was a quilter - one of the few ‘heirlooms’ of her life that we have kept and actually use.

  4. The patchwork is looking beautiful, and I do like your pots.
I always wondered about the vacuum tip for packing but it would only work one-way for me. I'd have to leave half my clothes behind on the way home!

  5. Practice packing eliminates so much not needed stuff! When Proge lived across the USA I got so I could travel for two weeks with a carryon bag and large purse. The quilt looks fantastic. Have always enjoyed seeing your progress.

  6. Beautiful quilt.
    Your packing is highly organized.
I usually pack two bags with one bag nearly empty because I always have more things to pack when coming home.

  9. I get Susan's packing regime. I often end up leaving old clothes behind to make room for fabric I've bought while away! (Its always fabric.)
