It is a lovely colour.. halfway through producing the next batch now...
Definitely Autumn...they are actually more yellow than they look here.
A month since I returned from France...I have been so busy...and remiss...I have a few letters waiting to be written!! And emails...but proper physical letters mean so much more.
Today's job first is get the clean washing on the line...then collect my pots from the September exhibition in the Barony Gallery in West Kilbride.

Autumn is very busy in the garden and kitchen
At least you’ll be able to slow down during winter and enjoy the fruits of your summer labour
The apple juice looks great .Homemade stuff is so much better than bought.
Wonderful apple juice... Praise all around!
We were in Scotland this summer... best wishes to you.

I am curious, how many apples does it take to get 2 bottles of juice?
It varies widely from variety to variety..and year to year! Honestly I haven't been checking, either.
And to you x
Are those edible mushrooms? If so, what a treat! I'd think a saute in butter would be a nice accompaniment to your apple juice! (mixed with vodka, for me! 😎
That apple juice looks so good.
I leave them for the wildlife!!
Beautiful colour juice. How do you preserve it?
Cold water bath in a deep pan ... basically pasteurisation...tops on, quarter turn opened, on a trivet and wrapped in tea towels so as not to rattle....raise to 190⁰F (my jam thermometer is old!) ..just simmering temperature really, I could do it without the thermometer...hold it there for 20 minutes...out, close cap, insulation tape around the cap, cool on its side...and when cool, Dip the top in candle wax .
Stored on their sides, any that leak are obvious!! I've only had one leak in the past ten years
