Housework in the morning...or it doesn't get done!! It is starting to be a good warm up to the day.
Off on the 10.37 bus to town then the next to Prestwick..to the travel agents...I'd realised that I had my boarding passes, but not on my phone...which apparently you don't get automatically when you book through them...email with download sent...so now I have them both ways...all bases covered... hopefully...then back to town for a Waterstones café lunch....checking that my phone will be ok in France...and that my contact details are correct with the bank..and back to Waterstones for an up-to-date French dictionary! It says pocket dictionary on it... must be quite a large pocket!
I had to exchange a small natural sponge at a chemists next..it had just started disintegrating as I got it wet !! I think the other will do the same..but at least they know. This was in an older street across between the two main streets. There is talk of renovating and restoring the buildings and older shop fronts...I hope so.
They aren't all as grand but they are worth caring for.
Then the French conversation group..great fun as it was our teacher's birthday!! Different ways of saying happy birthday....and listening to a birthday song...and talking about different phrases...and what chatgpt sounds like when you say it in French 😳 and what the slang for Facebook is 😆😎. Plus coffee or tisane and cake and biscuits!!

I wonder if those stores have apartments upstairs. I've always wanted to live in an apartment above a shop on a busy street, so much to watch. Not over a restaurant though, better a shop that closes in the evening. My fantasy!
Chatgpt in French -- I understand that joke! But I don't know the French slang for Facebook, alas.
It sounds like such a nice day...except the housework part!
Another very full day. I'm always cautious about boarding passes on phones. Traveling for work once one of my colleagues relied on such things sent by email by the travel agent (who did online check-in for him) and the return ones never came through. He was absolutely up the creek without a paddle.
Fesse de bouc ....
Which is why I have both download and printed pass from the travel agent...and I'm glad I"m not with a certain "cheap flights " Irish company...see "Fascinating Aïda" ...
Go on, what is ChatGpt in French ...
Well...j'ai pété is the gpt bit.... And chatte is a rather rude description..like pussy only more so...of a woman...
😆😆 oops ...
Ahahahahahaha!!! Per Google Translate: “Goat’s Butt” hahahaha!! Yes, I too have the sense of humor if a 12-year-old!
A very fun and educational day you had. Guess your trip to France is coming soon...so glad you're going to do that...and I expect to enjoy your posts about it!
With packing and airline tickets sorted you are ready to travel. vel.
Will your French class continue while in France?
The class sounds really good and lots of fun too.
Hopefully friend in France will help to make sure I practice!!
