Vendredi le 22 Aout

All sorts of little relaxed things today..washing, popping into Saint Junien for fuel then bread, milk, yoghurt and..fresh figs !!♥️

Today's salad was good..with the figs, yellow "Tomate Ananas"(pineapple tomato..very sweet) from a neighbour's garden, strawberries from in front of the house, Romanescu broccoli sprigs from the garden, red peppers and thinly sliced courgettes for colour...add a dash of balsamic vinegar and olive oil ...

In the afternoon we went upriver to Le Moulin de la Mie near Aixe sur Vienne..a brocante in an old mill..I must research the history of the building...

And I bought....Asterix in French!!!!

I really admire the way you just meld right into the culture of wherever you go! Local veggies, perfect.

I had a fresh fig at Tretower last Saturday. Lovely it was.

I would have had a great time in that indoor Brocante.

That "brocante" (new word for me) looks amazing. I'd love to wander around in there.

Brocantes in France are renown. There are wonderful treasures to be found.

I would have died and gone to old furniture heaven in that place. I spent ages stdying the bedside cabinets - so many and I can't find even one half decent proper wood one second hand here.
