Moon and gallery

Last night's almost full moon....I might not seen her tonight..as  ever, cloudy when Something is Happening!!

Today's housework? Washing the dishes..I had no wish to return to that!!
Bus just after 8.30..I could take the next one just after 9....but if that is delayed I miss the hourly bus on he next leg.

Past the barley field on the way down to the gallery.

Not a busy day in the gallery...quite a few families...so I had fun being subversive.

They enter being admonished "don't touch anything"...so I say to the kids...You can LOOK at everything..that way you see more!!

And I ask the children what THEY think and like doing or making.  I got quite a few decent answers..and told them to carry on and keep enjoying it as well.

Sad though, how many parents didn't give their offspring a chance to say anything.

I don't mind if they are shy or whatever..that is different. Anyhow it was good to encourage budding artists!

A lovely sight on the way home....a rainbow ♥️

But in Ayr town, completely dry, and warm!!

Back home I have been "chilling" after the bus rides and long day. Not much happening...just a little sewing before bed.

Kids can be very interesting visitors and sometimes their questions really make us think.

Such a shame when parents don't encourage their children to be creative, or to interact with artists. I met a really lovely lad and his parents and he was SO keen on militaria, and told me how to load a particular pistol and how long it should take. We talked for ages at the last big Fair.

What beautiful scenery on your route to the gallery. Well done for encouraging children to think about art and feel welcome there.

I well remember those childhood admonishments ... "Don't speak...Don't touch .. Say no thank you if offered a biscuit or cake ... etc". We were always too afraid to move!

The fields are lovely on route to the gallery.
You are great with kids. They need some boundaries but encouraging them to pursue their interests is very important. Have you ever offered a beginner pottery class?

I would run a mile from that !! I have taught one to one, an adult..so the 100% wish to learn was there...and I didn't feel outnumbered.

Sounds like a decent day.

I’m so glad you had time to give the children some attention.
You may have inspired the next great artist of our time

Great moon shots. Subversive sounds good. I do feel sorry for kids that aren't enabled to articulate their own thoughts or feelings - especially about art and creativity.
