One step done

There, that is the patchwork done...just lining and backing, border , quilting and edging to go...but first a break from sewing for a short while!!.

The garden has gathered speed...of course... perfect timing!!

And when I get back there will be 1001 things to do....

Today was officially mid 20s C....but at the back on the nicely sheltered bench it was certainly 5⁰ higher.... thankfully not the 43⁰ seen in southwest France..

I'm thankful that I'm not going that far South....36⁰ is hot enough..

The devastation created not just by fire but by drought is heart breaking. And this is happening year on year.

Climate change anyone?

That quilt is gorgeous!

I think your quilt is beautiful. I didn't know the heat was causing so much harm in France. In the UK I think we must urgently build more reservoirs to manage these extremes. Betty

Comment disappeared. How can anyone argue climate is not changibg. The paycheork is gorgeous but you make it sound like you've only done 10% of the project. Do you also quilt by hand?

Yes, that quilt is absolutely beautiful. A labour of love.
I hope you have packed plenty of sunblock and cool, airy dresses to wear!
