car saga...and life goes on...

Today the actual work is being done on the car...and as it hasn't had much tlc in the past, it has been a long haul.   The garage has actually stayed with the job instead of just leaving it until tomorrow...

Fingers crossed....and the Pirate is on the way home...it will need a brake pipe and possibly a brake caliper as well, soon, but all the present work has been done.

Meanwhile we've had a third Summer day in a row (!) and I've had a ride around the local lanes on my bike as well as doing yet more washing.

The Carpenter's wife in in hospital, waiting for an emergency op....cyst, ovary and possibly appendix as well. Not good with a babe due in October.
Wishing they were nearer,but such is life nowadays.

cars-an expensive hobby...

Ours has just had 4 new tyres, rear brakes mended, front brake discs, a track rod end one side and something else suspension related on the other side at the front....£300...and the tow bar fixed on.

At least it should be safe to drive.

Can't live with them,can't live without them at the moment....

weekend away to Ross and Cromarty....

A weekend away to a championships that was cancelled due to high winds and rain.
However we did find some roads we hadn't driven over, and went to see Argyll Pottery.
