Good...and Frustrating

This morning Pirate had a date with the hygienist...then a sandwich lunch by the sea

Then reflexology for us both...reeeelax!!

But things turned to custard as we arrived home and he couldn't get his phone out of his pocket fast enough....missed call from the hospital...15 minutes earlier than they had said.

Despite calling them and leaving a message as we have to, no call back.....and they work until 6.

No wonder Pirate went to bed early. Hopefully they will call again tomorrow.

I am watching a Sky Arts programme about John Steinbeck and the Grapes of Wrath...the conditions then and the reaction to the book....and how it inspired Jack Kerouac...and how it is relevant today.

keeping busy, keeping going

 Fruit vodkas started...
My favourite mug has died after ten year's use....now The Pirate's pencil mug..
 Greetings cards made
The Pirate testing his Hat for Fetching Wood in the Dark...
We went for a walk yesterday at Dusk, tracing the lead/leat for the old corn/saw mill, Guiltree Mill....this is the wier on the Dyrock Burn.
Walking helps stave off depression...and The Pirate's medical treatment is depressing...so we're working hard against that...
