Baaaaa!

I'm back making clay sheep for two days each week!!

I'm not sure how long for, but every penny helps.

Now to put handles on thirtyfive mugs......

Tomorrow I need to make bowls, and cups and saucers for Espresso coffee!

It has turned milder for a couple of days, which has made travelling to St Ffagans easier to make the sheep in the pottery there. Will it turn colder again now I need to get out there in the workshop and throw?!!

final selection

Thanks to The Carpenter for his well thought out comments, the selection has been made and packed.......The red/brown bowl, the blue jug, the salt glazed box, the fishy sgraffito platter, the cookie jar and the green bowl with the pie crust rim.
Any more would have been too heavy!


Now to pack a selection to show to two other galleries who used to sell my work well...that should be far easier!

I've photographed pots to put on Etsy, just need to weigh them and set the postage and packing charges.

That should keep me busy today! It is still cold out there, although the temperature is rising again- it is playing "yo-yo" so you can't get acclimatised to any level. So staying in and getting on with it is not a bad deal!!

Yesterday's eight mini salt kits have been turned, and are now seven-one was a little too finely potted!
This afternoon I threw a dozen mugs at one sitting. I suppose I should have stopped at ten, couldn't feel the last two properly, but by then I had patterned my hands enough to the shape again.
Eight have been ordered (with a milk jug). I'm awaiting confirmation, but even if she changes her mind on how many she'll have, these go well, as does the colour she has requested (dark blue)
Just the shape to keep hands and drink nice and warm!!

The wind has has a cutting edge to it today.

Mountain Man walked down just to have lunch with me. A simple meal together, sit and talk, discuss what we will be growing on our allotment gardens this season. He makes me feel braver and more confident to do what I want to do. I just wish he'd let me go up the hill to save him the walk sometimes.

today's batch. Even with the heater on in the workshop, throwing was slow and I could only throw one boardfull at a time.
It isn't really that cold outside, but the workshop holds the cold as well as it holds the heat!

Birds are singing, and we are forecast a couple of wet days before more cold comes back again.

feeling dissuaded

Son in Law has sorted the website, thankfully.
Unfortunately calls me arrogant as I phoned at Twins' Bedtime. I just got the time wrong.
The number of times I've NOT phoned as I thought the time was wrong...and got called being not interested in their welfare!

I think THEY have to learn to phone ME for a change!!

So, despite having instructed me to forward everything about the website to him, he will now have no more to do with it.

Hay was ok today, eight degrees C at first!! It soon chilled and got gusty! So not much sales, but better than none.

The snow and hail showers didn't catch up with me until Crickhowell on the way home.
We are forecast snow and suchlike overnight, possibly not until daytime in this corner of Wales.

So Mountain Man might not come down tomorrow.

If only he would let me go up......
