Two new orders in...a pint saltglaze jug going to Cheshire and a vintage pair of shoeplates sold on eBay.
Keep on keeping on..The bad is outnumbered by the good I think.
The money is very handy too, bike bits bringing in money for bike bits!
Pirate's new bike is nearly ready to roll....

The Early Birthday Present

Pirate has a focus now, just what was needed! We have had to buy new bottom bracket cups but practically everything else is from stock or from another bike.
The next decision is brakes and we will be seeing a friend soon who may have the right ones ,hardly used ,for sale.

The bad news, possibly, is that he went back and bought another frame for me...just when I thought that the finances were heading in the right direction!! However it is also good news. If it fits me properly I will be back on an elegant steel frame . Pirate is happy because he has managed to buy me a birthday present!

Now to get selling more bike bits!!

Bike bits

More bike bits sold, so this morning's exercise, shopping, posting run was on our bikes, making the most of a bit of sun.
Then off to see a fellow seller's shop, where Pirate spent the sales money..and a little more..buying a 1980s aluminium Allen Cyclo-cross frame, like one he used to race on...his early birthday present!!
He has most of the kit needed to build it up as a complete bike and it will be his forest roads and bike tracks bike. All part of our aim to get off road more.
Back to cleaning and pricing and listing more bike bits!
