A day indoors

With the cold wind blasting outside and heavy showers intermittently, it was a day for staying in..even if the sun did try and shine briefly as if to tempt me out...before the next shower!!

Today's job was mostly listing things on fleabay....writing and researching carefully then trying not to make mistakes as I post it!! More tomorrow too as it is a reduced fees weekend.

One small sale to post tomorrow too as incentive!!

Pretty things..but I will be glad to see them gone!!

Autumn Equinox

Not an easy day, still tired after yesterday.  The shortening days are no help atall.

Ebaying starts again, with all the money from past sales spent!

Starting with a decent sale sent off today, and then the job of photographing, researching and listing...to start with little bits and bobs to revive the system and hope for the special reduced selling fees offers!!!

Pirate is stressing...another eight days until his specialist nurse phones him...it's a job to keep him positive and he is beginning to lose more hair..I am sure that is as much stress as age and health.

Bike bits!

It was get down to it and list bits on eBay today, plus packing yesterday's sale.

The research is enjoyable if time consuming....

Memories of riding to the velodrome..well, track, it was outdoors...and taking the brake off the track bike ready to race....

I am gradually restocking my Etsy shop and the number of visitors and views has increased.

It is very tempting just to get everything on in one foul swoop.....but that wouldn't work!!

So just one reposting every coup!e of days, and meanwhile work on new drawings and blocks.

I have in mind one view from our village, across a friend's farm, and across to Goat Fell on Arran....I have a few photographs of it, but I need just the right angle..

I think with making local images I can't use too much artistic licence and it must be totally recognisable

The background wasn't too visible on our last walk!!

A good start to the week

One wash done and dried before we went out, and the car delivered to our local village garage.

As the weather is was still warm and dry, out on our bikes to post the latest eBay sale and test ride his new bike.

A few teething problems but nothing insurmountable and nothing to stop our ride.

A detour on the way home to check a length of hedge on a quiet road that usually yields a good haul of brambles. Not ready yet! A meander through the lanes until we found a good patch of brambles, yielding a pound and a half plus a good amount of rosehips.

Two boxes fit neatly in my pannier bag.

Lunch done and pirate has put his feet up for a siesta.

The car's brakes are good again and we have a quote to clean and stone proof the underside. That can wait until next month and hopefully we can sell enough bike bits to fund that! It should keep the car going well for another couple of years at least.

Now the next batch of washing is ready to go on the line, and the weather still looks good for drying. We have a thunderstorms weather warning, but no sign of them yet.

Two jobs to do, list more on eBay and sow some vege seeds!

It sounds like a busy busy day, but it is surprising how much you can achieve at a steady pace.

As grandma said "the hurried I go, the behinder I get"!!

Slow progress

Shopping done and lunch over..we decided to work indoors as the wind is cold and decidedly strong. I took the washing off the line before it took off.
Pirate is busy cleaning bike bits...and is beginning to learn how much is involved with listing on eBay...let alone getting it sold!
I had a break from the paperwork and processed ten bottles of Elderflower and lemon cordial, then back to the computer and got two items listed.
Once I get used to the pattern, the others should be quicker.

ebay vs etsy?

your thoughts?

I find etsy easier to list on..but early days, perhaps thats just me.

Maybe I'll add a vintage section to the etsy shop?

more hopes

Two I've listed on ebay, the others I need more boxes and bubblewrap..

This is tempting to hang on to....but would I use it?
I'm a potter..I've got plates I can use!!

When we get some decent weather I can get on with sorting the workshop and mending the kiln.

Keeping busy while watching friends do well in the Commonwealth Games track cycling...even saw the Pirate cheering them on!! He is meeting up with Kiwi friends there too, its good to hear.
Just over two weeks and he'll be back!!

a sale!

Put the flags out!!!
These..
are on their way to a new home.

Funnily enough I've now been given a second month of free listing..probably an incentive given to newbies!!

time consuming.

Listing on ebay...doing research forgetting the descriptions just so, the photos showing any faults, searching for any similar things
to see how the market is going....

I've got 18 lots in my ebay shop now, and have had the first very low offer...which i rejected...and the buyer came straight back with a bid a couple of pounds higher..I've still got a day to decide, but its still a bit cheeky .
Do I say, well a sale is a sale?

Some I've had for years, gifts along the way, bits picked up like a magpie that caught my eye.
All the money will go into savings, ready for our next trip to New Zealand....

selling online

Isn't as easy as you'd think...it took me hours to list five items!!

I'm beginning to get the hang of it. I ran out of tape and boxes, so bought tape and acquired a few boxes yesterday to keep me going..must find a new source of bubblewrap!
I added these yesterday..

I've got free listing  for three more days, must get on with it!

starting ebay..

Real wood frames I think, so the cost of postage anywhere but the UK is more than the items !!

I'm still looking for the pattern id and dates for the creamer and gravy boat I want to list..more work for tonight.

I wont be bored or at a loss while the Pirate is away...I'll be too busy!!
