More skies

Monday morning the clouds rolled in after a clear start

This next was  after an hour

And this at the front

I was hoping for a parcel delivery...looks like it would be today, which meant escape for some daylight!!

Berries by the bus stop..still a few left after the fieldfares , redwings , starlings and blackbirds.

A two bus journey to Troon for a special shop..and for some reason I went the other way around the block...and met one of my best friends!!

After the shop, hot chocolate was in order..and in the café the woman serving us used to work (pre covid) in our favourite café in Prestwick!!

Cosmic chuckles all round!!

There happens to be a secondhand bookshop by the bus stop....another Joanne Harris book...and a ceramics book. Do I need more books? !!

Dawn

An apricot hued skyline, the second day of a new moon and Jupiter...at 7am breathtaking...and freezing!!

Hoping and wishing for an end to all the hurt and arguing all over the world.

Politicians cause it, military do it and the majority that get hurt are the rest of the population.  It has always been thus.

I side with none, before anyone flings any accusations.

New day, new beginning

Apparently it was -8C at Ayr seashore this morning, so we must be minus double figures, just.

We are still walking most days, carefully, off-road. Just an hour or so is enough.

Sky contrasts, new year hopes

This morning...icy road at the front...
Beautiful sunrise at the back...and soon it started snowing again. Jobs indoors again..ironing, keeping the clothes, doing a little tidying....our one visitor today...the postie!!
By 3.30pm we had just enough time for a walk, our loop out round the back of the village on the road.. Looking towards Goat Fell on Arran...
Following himself down the road...with the beautiful sky to the right...
And grey on the left!
We cut back cross country half way to get off the road...just in time to see the sunset through the trees
And the other way?.....

Here we go towards 2021..Kiwis were just about the first to get there.....able to celebrate together...

We have been at home, watching last celebrations on BBC Alba...then,.a programme Sounds of the Line, by a musician inspired by the sounds and the history and old photos of the West Highland Line...seeing the news...briefly....disaster upon disaster....then Billy Connolly....you need a smile! Sad that he can no longer perform, due to Parkinson's...but the spark is still there.

Just over an hour until next year... here's hoping for health, people respecting themselves and others, happiness and friendship. Not a lot!!

Better late than....

This evening's job is adding a little colour to this year's cards!!

Yet another odd day, not much done apart from taking another sale the ten miles to the post office and getting the weekly bedding wash done.

It started nicely
