move the furniture!
My grandma was doing that in her 90s...I'm carrying on the tradition!
Moved the tv and the table to the wider end of the living room, the Canterbury to where the table was and the smaller sofa is between the two, instead of blocking the heat from the longer radiator.

The result is a square sitting eating and viewing space . Far more sociable and less of just a passage from front to back!

Slightly less cluttered than it was-let's just call it busy!!

We've had friends to visit and a friend is staying with us now...ans its a relief that it works.

Netta's Garden

Netta can no longer do her garden. When we go,we show her before and after photos..this gives her joy as she is housebound with arthritis.  How Fate treats the nicest of people....

We had another rosy, cloudy sunset.

and I bottled the latest batch of cordial after processing...elderflower and lime again..

Hopefully they have all sealed properly...next step is to dip the tops in wax to make sure that air is  excluded.

The washing pole was moved out of the way...

ice cream was well deserved...from the ice cream van that comes around from Paisley...

Tomorrow, weather permitting we may construct a potting bench/flower pot storage/toolrack.....There are a few pallets just waiting to be used...

when you're in a garden....

domestic day

 Doing things at home today as it was (mostly) dry..pirate defeated a 15" x 15" x 18" block of concrete ( I helped too!) that had held a washing pole...the pry bar is in the remnants of the pole.

 and we moved the replacement pole still in its concrete block two feet over into the hole that the original left behind. Now the pole is no longer in the way, and  neighbour can reach it to renew her line..a job she has been thinking of doing for a while!

 herbs and cuttings all sorted,re-potted or planted,

 and the same for roses and geraniums. They will be out in a bed in front of the house, eventually.

 and tonight's sunset...

You'll have to imagine that the sun wasn't burning through as much, and the rosy bits were really rosy...it was breathtaking...

At 10.45 pm, the neighbour's chooks are refusing to go indoors as it is too light..as we've had buzzards and foxes around lately he has to stay up late to get them in!!
