pirate at work....framed!
but then rain stopped play....
and I bottled the latest batch of cordial after processing...elderflower and lime again..
Hopefully they have all sealed properly...next step is to dip the tops in wax to make sure that air is excluded.

Following on from my post - do you eat the dried fruit as is or reconstitute?
Nice to see so much getting done in spite of the wet weather.
I am sort of a divided mind about all the rain we are having. On the one hand it’s wonderful to have so much green and not worry about forest fires or the well going dry. On the other, working and enjoying the warm weather is minimal.
How is the kiln progressing?
Susan we tend to use the dried fruit for snacking...but also on granola or porridge. Sometimes it goes into fruit cakes.
thanks, I will try some apples. Have only used it for the persimmons as that was what we had lots of . It will depend on what is available cheaply at the market. You are always busy doing something on your property.
I thought I'd make elderflower cordial but must have done something wrong, it turned out all sludgy :( yours looks much nicer!
Elderflower has a lovely flavor. And I would imagine that lime is a very good accompaniment.
Jenny can you follow this link?
