More skies

 Monday morning the clouds rolled in after a clear start

This next was  after an hour

And this at the front 

I was hoping for a parcel delivery...looks like it would be today, which meant escape for some daylight!!

Berries by the bus stop..still a few left after the fieldfares , redwings , starlings and blackbirds.

A two bus journey to Troon for a special shop..and for some reason I went the other way around the block...and met one of my best friends!!

After the shop, hot chocolate was in order..and in the café the woman serving us used to work (pre covid) in our favourite café in Prestwick!!

Cosmic chuckles all round!!

There happens to be a secondhand bookshop by the bus stop....another Joanne Harris book...and a ceramics book. Do I need more books? !!

Day after day

 Little improvements...but it is hard work for someone impatient and emotional to be ultra patient!!

Pirate is now aiming to walk a little every day.  Working around how he is feeling every day , we are managing it!

Today we thought...take the parcel ( a sale!) to the post office, in the car...and find somewhere different for a wander....

We ended up going for a nice wee ride....in the car....what parking spaces there were...were taken!!

Followed by a short walk around a bit of Hannahston, our first " off-road" walk. 

Going by bus!

 Another visit to Ayr on a wet and windy day...not a day for a bike ride and depressing to stay indoors.

Pirate banked money from selling tyres and a wheel, we got a few hardware bits and bobs for a neighbour, then lunch in the bookshop café....

Down to the gallery again, and with luck caught the artist I met initially and the man who runs the building. 

Back on the bus, then phone contact made with the other joint organiser of the exhibition...can I bring work in on Saturday?

This afternoon's headache is how to price my work, after not pricing any pots for ten years?!

Consideration must also be given to the rise in material prices, and the price of gas.....when you can get it...

On the bike!

 On Friday our friend came over from the Kingdom of Fife with a few bike bits for us to sell! We share the proceeds, so all of us profit. The day was fine and dry if chilly and breezy so we headed around the local lanes, hiding from the wind in the shelter of the hedges. We not only managed 25 miles, but got the route right to have a tailwind home!

Yesterday we got inspired and combined having a look at more classic bikes..(and buying another frame of course!) with a ride on our newest steeds down the Clyde coastal bike route from Ardrossan to Irvine and back.

With a stop at a gelateria in Irvine of course!

escaping cabin fever

Despite the weather...very wet and very windy again..we went to watch a local cyclo cross at Rozel Park in Ayr. The rain held off for the two hours we were there!
Followed by a carryout chip supper and a shopping bag full of reduced items from the next door coop to the chipshop!
