I think we'll be glad to see the back of this year..it has been very unsettling and hard work for the both of us. Hopefully the coming move will help solve some problems...
I'm watching the weather forecast closely..at present we have a weather warning in force for wind and rain until tomorrow lunchtime...Tuesday we head North on the Bus!! Four hundred miles and a ferry....and the forecast is not bad so far...
And The Good News? The Pirate's Hormone Therapy injections have finished!!
Solstice is on Monday, so on Tuesday....
Through the door to the next year...and Hogmanay isn't too far off for those who keep to the calendar...

busy moving...
and having a much needed break at times.
I haven't even used the camera much..when it is fine we're busy taking carfuls of things to the new drum!!
When it isn't fine it is too grim and wet!!

over-dramatic
Somehow the delicate blue/green colours have come out yellow.....the color balance is normally good, but somehow faced with sunsets the olimpus acts like a phone camera.....

posting and keeping on
More cards in the Etsy shop.
Took a few of the new Seasonal ones to a cafe in Prestwick, but the new owners are not interested really...so I just left some seasonal cards and all of the images of the cafe . Some will be good enough to sell elsewhere. I doubt if I'll see any sold by January, so I can gracefully retreat from there and try a cafe in Ayr.
Which has far better coffee....and exceedingly good food...and art on the walls....
Keeping on keeping on at home...looking forward to starting box moving next week. Sorting papers and filling the shredder and recycling and rubbish bins.
Keeping the Pirate going, but he is finding all this stress hard work.
I'm finding it hard to raise enthusiasm for training be it gym or the turbo trainer..I'd love just to go out and potter on the bike, but the thought of getting cold and gritty and wet.....we're missing the worst of the storms, but it still gets pretty miserable.

printing...
Making seasonal cards using a photo from our working visit to Skye last January. Funny how it can be easier to see the value in an image after a while...
must put some on Etsy tonight.

A quick dash...
We went wild apple picking at midday today...ready for apple and gean vodka, apple brandy, apple jelly....
The sun was out,the views were good...and an hour later we arrived back home, just in time...
hail showers with heavy rain in between...

Kent, again
Another funeral, of a lovely sparky lady. Cousin to the Pirate.
Down the Kent lanes.
Over a thousand miles in three days, but plenty of family seen, at the funeral and otherwise.
Lucky drives both ways, with big accidents behind us. Torrential rain at Scotch Corner, then snow in the last twenty miles.
Home safe but tired, carrying on sorting for The Move.

cyclo cross
This shows exactly why I don't do cyclo cross...but I don't mind helping, and we occasionally help with bike changes and bike washing in the pits..(like motor racing only different!)
We were at Lochore Meadows near Lochgelly in the Kingdom of Fife on Sunday
obstacles, mud, wiggly bits,bumpy bits....
all ages from fast 50+...Brendan doing well there.....yes, they are all behind you!
and all sizes....even under 8 yrs..just as enthusiastic!
