Ticking off the list

Another trip into town as a break from getting ready..

And passing over a parcel that another friend will collect on their way from Newcastle to Arran via the ferry!

A good reason to have lunch with local friend

And back home again on the bus

Steven the seagull.....they have notices saying Feed the bin not the Gull....but people ignore them unfortunately

Our nasty neighbour throws bread out into her back garden for the gulls. We have to run for cover when they all come screeching in for the food fight!

So fun to see Stephen’s webbed feet on pavement…where I’d expect to see a pigeon begging scraps! He’s a bit more aggressive than those bins I’d imagine.

People don't realise how aggressive they can be..but they are foraging where they can, getting scraps and rubbish...and actually almost an endangered species overall...as the factory shops hoover up their food in the sea

There is always one ignoramus!

Seagulls know where they can find food. I've seen them in parking lots where the sea is an hour away. Watching the gulls follow a fishing boat is always a lovely sight.

I'm sure my neighbors curse me for feeding starlings and (inadvertently) pigeons. Fortunately we don't get gulls on our feeders!

Steven is one grumpy looking seagull.

The gull is exquisite but feeding him is bad conduct.

I just love seagulls !! So much character!!

Unfortunately it's our fault they come inland looking for scraps as we drop so much litter - I bet they are losing the ability to fish for their supper!

Steven looks like he could ruffle some feathers. A friend had bought a bagel and was sitting on a pier with her breakfast. Much to her shock, a large seagull descended and stole the whole thing from her hand before she had even a bite. She said that a small child watching was delighted, clapping his hands and calling, "Do it again!"
