Yoghurt in the yog maker, bread in the bread machine...a good start to the day. Still chilly and damp but better in the afternoon.
Damp days are hair washing days too!
I lifted the last of last year's leeks and loosened the earth, then protected it against the local cats. I have worked out that there is one corner of the onion bed that gets sat on...better than something else I suppose!
The tatties got earthed up a little. They need more but I haven't decided with what yet.
I happened to see an ad for a small woodburning stove on fb market place and just clicked on it on the offchance.
It turns out that he lives backing on to a friend's gallery in Galloway on the way to Kircudbright....and renovates stoves.
I have a stove that needs tlc...and the parts for it....
he also does installations....
all being well he will collect the stove and parts next week...So now I have to tidy the studio some more!!!!
Rasberrieeezzz
I knew there was a use for things that were here when we moved here 😄

Good to find a stove renovation man and nice looking loaf.
FB marketplace sounds like a good resource. Finding a good contractor is not always easy. Some want a photo of the job first. Some want only big jobs/new installations. Some want to spread the job over several days.
I got estimates for installing a new garage door opener in one bay. When one guy looked at the job, gave me a reasonable price and said he could do the install on-the-spot/the same day I was thrilled. This was a young guy building his business. You know I will recommend him to my friends and neighbors.
Your garden looks terrific and well protected.
There is nothing better than a roaring fire to chase the chill away
