from our windows.

inspired by Sara

Storm Imogen missed us, thankfully, but we're still mostly damp.

The car is back in for work as the nut fell off the alternator...someone obviously didn't tighten everything up when the cam belt was done last week.....cue nasty noises as the  pulley rubbed on the chassis and the belt threatened to come off....
hopefully sorted before next weekend as we need it to travel to Birmingham....

The Pirate doesn't need even more stress and it is hard work keeping him positive. With things piling on one after the other over the past nine months or more it isn't easy to get him to stop thinking that the world is against him!

Unfortunately the alternative car...mine....has a puncture, a broken headlamp glass thanks to someone large backing into the edge of the bonnet..so when dropped to close not quite straight and that side landing first the glass smashed.
She also worked very hard doing the trailer work when we moved. She is a valiant workhorse (Peugeot 405 diesel estate) but now at 22 years old needs the care of an enthusiast!  The brakes and exhaust need attention , the trim is looking tatty, the central locking is temperamental, etc etc.....BUT she still does well over 50 miles to the gallon of fuel!!

I hope the nice views give you some reprise from your troubles.

How sad for your little car. I've know ladies like her, and I hope she can have her exterior put back in order.

S'funny how cars after they have reached a certain age become characters and part of the family - hope the Birmingham trip lifts his mood and helps him heal xx

We have only one car (we should have two). If it was to break down we would be in the poo. I keep saying we should buy some little runabout (Renault Express), just in case!

Wishing good health for you all, people and vehicles.

Beautiful views there gz.
We have too many vehicles in most peoples opinions but they are all old and liable to break at any moment. Even though J is very handy when it comes to mechanics, if something big goes so does the car!
I hope your cars are easily fixed soon xx
