dust and ashes

Hurricane Ophelia is bringing us dust and ashes from the fires in Iberia, possibly with added Saharan Sand.

Ah you seem to have captured the redness, my works mobile phone was failing me. I was at work when I a colleague pointed out the red thing in the sky :)
it was a funny sort of light this morning and then we were treated to one of natures delight.

I'm lucky to have a setting on the camera for sunsets..but the camera generally "sees" reds as a little more brown than they should be...and totally misses the delicate greens..

I was outside trying to take pictures of the weird coloured sky but my camera refused to notice it and insisted it looked normal........one day I'll work out how to use the bits other than Automatic.
Your photos are stunning

I hope your property doesn't have any damage from the hurricane. I totally understand how devastating the winds and water can be. The end of August, I lost my office to 3 feet of waters from Hurricane Harvey. The clean up is still on going....
