garden sorting

Job started...removing what hadn't survived our three winter blasts, plus the current hot dry spell.

Discussion is ongoing as to where the Fruit Bed will go, but at least there will be a sort of potting up/sort of greenhouse sheltered area soon.

A gardeners work is never done, eh? We're having flooding today and probably the rest of the week!

I am astounded at all the building/renovation you have undertaken this past year.

What sort of fruit are you going for?

Avus we have a decent strawberry bed. The rest are various currant and gooseberry bushes, of which those in the biggest pots are doing ok. The rasberry canes are not happy even in bigger tubs. Getting them properly planted will give them all a better chance, and I'll be able to rig up a fruit cage and get more of the crop instead of the blackbirds!

Looks very nice. I hope weather allows for the raspberries' freedom soon (although here, at least, they like to spread). Thanks to our son, we have currants and gooseberries, too.
