Xmas fair day this morning in the village where we used to live. Quite a lively affair, which is good to see.
It is quite a lively village for its size , with all sorts of classes going on at the village hall...yoga, gardening and knitting to start with.! (Not all at the same time!!)
More chatting to other old friends..but I don't think I'd move back ..
Then after brunch in the village café, home for more painting... interrupted by two phone calls which happened at the same time.
Sunset was quite colourful
Now we are having a cold night after a chilly day

Why do you think you would never want to move back?
Sounds like a fun day!
Beautiful sky!
We are leaving Penang's blue sky and 32C temperature today and heading towards a snowy home later. Brrr...
extreme knitting if combined with yoga....very even coloured sunset, a sort of watercolour wash
Financial reasons...council rates and rents are higher. On top of that my rent here is unusually low but that is an unique situation. Travel reasons...less frequent buses, and no Sunday bus.
Further from Ayr and Glasgow and other friends.
Plus moving back feels like a backward step ...
Thinking again..apart from the couple of people that I wouldn't like to live near.... everyone has moved on ten years since I lived there...so perhaps just visiting back for the knitting or gardening clubs is the best thing.
Must have been good to reconnect even if you now feel your life is in a new place!
Public transport should be everywhere and every day.
It was , Steve.
Definitely
Meeting up with old friends and groups from your old village sounds enjoyable. You can always stay in touch which is a good option.
We seem to have reached an age where we never go out at all. I think sometimes it's sad but I do enjoy the comfort and isolation.
But you do have company..SWMBO..and your daughter...
When one goes out it is too loud....too peopley...events are no longer enjoyable...or affordable!
