Despite being wet initially and windy...the sun occasionally came out from behind the clouds every now and again!! It stayed dry..
if a trifle chilly....until after 5pm..
Today was sortout day in my studio.
I did a bit of trimming to two homemade saw horses that are being a table with a pallet screwed to the top of them. Now the small chest freezer that is In The Way in the kitchen can move in by there and be s vlay store. No need for power for that.
I'm sorting out the studio contents..well..trying to! Some things have been "temporarily" parked there.
A door...wrong size, but the handles and me hanism are needed to mend one in the house. A large bag of reeds....given to us..overkill as we just needed enough to mend a stool thst Pirate made at school...
and a 3 metre 100m Rough Sawn timber..what DID we buy that for!!

...the work never ends.
So many forgotten and mysterious treasures to be found!
You are really digging in! We are doing the same. It is just amazing how stuff accumulates when we're not paying attention.
Workshop light off a car baytery? I set up the caravan with an LED bedside lamp (usb) running off a 'car battery' with a usb socket in it and a small solar panel connected. LED draws virtually no piwer - light forever.
workshop lamp with a car battery in place...battery flat!
There is a plan for a solar panel. I'll need to set up something for the kiln thermocouple as well.
I can clear the other wheel in the front of the workshop...more light..and throwing will keep me warm!
Forever onwards and upwards...
The lighter days are almost here so a solar panel would probably be helpful now.
Don't you find that a big sort out like that ends up a bit like tetras, you start something and then something else has to move to make space for the item in question, so you move it then suddenly things turn up and you have to find homes for them too! 🙂
Interesting finds…and I hope the lighting can improve.
I find I never know how much stuff I have until I move house or do a big sort/declutter. Treasures are found and then many trips to the tip or donation center.
That large flat piece of rough sawn wood might make a great table/work surface or a bench.
Very industrious!!
definitely..although my offspring introduced me to Tetris as inspiration for bag packing when shopping!
Probably kind of fun to go through it all, I should think. That's a pretty door! I bet you could sell it!
Great that you are making progress in the studio. The ware boards are a nice reward for your work. It always sir[roses and amazes me that the stuff I have accumulated over all these years still exists.
I've tried!! I need to get one the right size...I offered it free or exchange..no takers...but it isn't a solid door..one of those with a paper honeycomb inside
