discovery...and commenting

With help from a knowledgable friend I have worked out that I'm allergic to penicillin....muscle and joint pains kicking in after two days...consequently walking was a bit difficult today..

But I did it!

Concentrating on the lesson wasn't easy either...after a sleepless night...despite that I got much work correct.

I'm having difficulty commenting (even on my own blog!) The method to use when it just sits there saying "publishing" is copy the comment, reload the page, paste the comment..and it usually works.

If you get the sad face instead of a comment box, reload...or go back later.

It was frosty again this morning...and I found a good sign the the Glasgow School of Art..and the old building still smells smoky as you walk past 🙁

I’m amazed they haven’t realised that.
Or maybe it’s a recent thing. I never had allergies but apparently I have one now that has almost killed me. Four times!
I hope it gets out of your system quickly

it is on the list, but not as a common reaction

Good that you figured out what was wrong. Be sure to note allergy on every record you use. Ignored early symptoms can lead to real disasters.

there is the yellow card system...if the doc wont use it, I can...and I wouldn't be surprised if this is more common than they say

I am glad you caught this reaction.
Can your doc recommend something to counteract the allergic reaction? If the infection continues, you'll need a new treatment as well. Take care GZ.

I've had comments hang like that and I usually do exactly what you did. I'm allergic to penicillin too, or I was when I was an infant -- got a rash. Haven't had it since so who knows?!

no, once you react at whatever age that is it.

the reactions are fading thankfully as my system clears itself. Sore hip is taking a bit longer, but it is steadily improving. I think whatever is wrong with my finger needs identifying before I take anything else..no more guesswork!!

I thought the comment issues were on MY end!

I have had comment problems too, in the past. So frustrating! Especially after you take the time to write them.
How good that you caught that allergic reaction. It seems that sometimes we have reactions to things that didnt bother us at all when we were younger. At 40, my husband suddenly became allergic to shellfish. He had never had an issue with it before.

At least you know now so alternatives can be prescribed.

If your finger issue turns out to be “felon finger”, at least you’ll get some giggles out of it!
