homework!

 or, Les Devoirs!!

I have to write 120-150 words using the simple future tense....what Iwill do this weekend (ie the one  just gone), during this week, where my next holidays are and what I'll be doing next year.

First draft has scraped up to 120 words...I'll get that right and submit it tomorrow.

At least I have to write about facts...nothing imaginary, or respond to a question about anything hypothetical!!

The weather has been definitely dubious today...we don't need more cold wet and very windy, thankyou!!

The bowls I threw yesterday have dried nicely...with careful wrapping of rims in clingfilm and turning over to dry the feet.

I took them down to the studio two at a time to finish ..I didn't want to be caught halfway with a ware board full of pots!

I haven't quite got the moisture content right for drilling holes to make berry bowls..but near enough.

One job I do need to do is to sort all my tools so I'm not hunting for the right tool..which I know is somewhere....

So amazing that you do this. I really like the ones with holes, so useful. I will be looking forward to seeing them glazed.

So skilled! What colours are you planning?

The blue/green and the red are working well . the white is a satin finish so I could use that on the vases with a little extra decoration, not on the bowls

I've never seen a pottery berry bowl in the US. They are unique and very lovely.

I really like the bowls, what colour are they going to be when finished?

I have a dark blue, a greeny blue and a red.. There is a black breaking to brown glaze (tenmoku) that I love..but I can't do that one yet

Oh yeah, I do love the berry bowls. I also like the way you create "feet" and the little identifying marks you use. Is that a seashell I see on one of them?

Amazing as always, Ms GZ. Good think that kitchen got decluttered - was that all the grand plan?

gz said...

definitely..but where do I put the seed trays ?!!

gz said...

yes, I use several different shells directly plus stamps made from shell impressions.
Inspiration for the feet...architrave!
