steady garden progress

I'm making best use of the warmer weather before it leaves again!!

I did what I could out of doors today..boosting my vitamin D naturally! I was a joy to see a blue sky.

Kale has been potted on, broad beans planted out, carrots and radish sown together. one patch mulched with cardboard, another hoe-ed over. A quarter of the polytunnel weeded.  No rushing, just steady work..with stops to appreciate the weather!!  If the weather holds tomorrow morning I could weed the strawberry bed...

The antibiotics seem to be working on my sinuses and chest...that wasn't the intended target!! The swelling is still on my finger...but looks to have stopped spreading.

I hope that this hasn't been triggered by getting back into throwing!!

I do hope the problem with your finger is not caused by throwing.

Steady progress is just fine but then something happens and sets us back.

I hope you find out the cause of that mysterious finger swelling.

Maybe try some antihistamine. It might be a bite of some kind. I will hope it’s not arthritis and you can keep throwing

It sounds like the antibiotics are working overtime! You have been busy in the garden.

I guess antibiotics work all over. That swelling isn't a fluid sac protecting some part over worked by return to throwing is it? The garden progress seems immense and sudden - like throwing a switch!

Well, at least the antibiotics are sorting out any peripheral nasties that have been lurking around. Hope the finger problem is not something that proves difficult to resolve.

Glad there is an unintended benefit from the anti b's and your finger no worse. My back is already complaining from the bending and weeding, but hey ho, it will just have to put up with it.

I'm sure the antibiotics will get around to your finger, sounds like it's in a queue.

Doesnt just being outside make things feel better!
Hope finger, chest and sinuses continue to heal - Happy Ostara!

I have a nasty feeling that it could be...I didn't have any effects last year. Although it could be the weather as well?

Hopefully the antibiotic resolves the finger problem too.
If there is some toxin or arthritis in the finger, Epsom salts in a hot tub might be helpful. 2 lbs. of salts, 1 cup vinegar, 1/2 cup Borax. This is a bit of a home detox, per my late 99 year old Uncle.

I cannot wait for warmer weather. I have my plants started indoors but it will be 1 month - 6 weeks before I can take them outside.

We used to have an epsom salts bath after a hard day. Since moving here we were without a bath...something that has really been missed these past years. A bucket to stick ones feet in is not the same!!

You seem so far ahead of us in the gardening, although I used to have my lettuce out in a hotbed in February when I was younger. I am getting anxious to get started, but it may be a bit longer. You have sure made good progress!
