Saturday morning started with a frost. I was safer to walk down the road to the bus stop than the pavement!
The lesson went ok..getting our heads around the subjunctive tense...
the one you use when you say
"that I did...."
I thought of lunch in Kelvingrove....but baulked at the cheapest being £15 for
Macaroni cheese!!
A "Puffer"
This is by the entrance
A grand pile..but the mid section of thep front of the building has scaffold and sheeting over it...mending needed.
I found a fish and chip shop over the road..with a few bar stools so that you could eat in..Proper chips and mushy peas..with a side of freshly fried veggie pakoras!
Followed by a walk along quieter back streets back to the bus station..Sunday was finishing pots day

Pakoras... what, no deep fried Mars bars??
I think I went to Kelvingrove when we had a weekend up there. Is it the one with the real elephant?
The best chips are in Castle Douglas...award winning...I miss them terribly now we are not travelling up and down to Stranraer...a bit far for you though. I love to see your pictures, I am homesick for the area. Your pots are so lovely...I hope you have applied for the Great Pottery Throwdown! Viv
Gosh, I never got beyond the most extreme of basic French - hated it and the teacher. I once got 2% in a French exam. That says it all really!
Pots are looking good.
Sad to see that huge fire by the Railway Station in Glasgow.
P.S. £15 for Macaroni Cheese is a bit steep but then I balk at the cost of a bag of chips these days!
I love your pots. And well done on finding a good chippy.
It is often the food establishments that are off the main route are cheaper, have a lovely atmosphere and probably the food tastes nicer! I agree - £15 for macaroni cheese ?!?
I heard about the big fire in Glasgow yesterday on the news here in Canada. Plus another blog I read had some footage of it. Such a loss of a beautiful building!
The pots are coming along nicely!
Fifteen pounds, dollars, euros sounds like a lot for mind cheese. Thanks for the walk. I always enjoy your photo tours.
...your creations are fabulous!
Very nice little pots! The FB feed has been full of photos of the fire in Glasgow. So sad.
Nice looking pots. Pakoras? Delicious find. DL
This one is Pakistani/Italian....I've also found an Italian Scots chippy with a proper sit down section...and each meal includes bread and butter and a drink in the cost!!
what is it that says fish'n'chip shops need black and white tiles?
