Busy day

We had our nearly weekly outing to Dundee yesterday. Luckily the track is rideable when it is raining! It was only light drizzle for the first half and by the end the track was drying out.  The young photographer came with his dad....and wants to ride next time!!

We headed over the Tay Bridge and the other side was dry!!

An afternoon spent seeing friends, lunch in a garden centre, collecting bike frames that we have been asked to sell, then down to see people at a road time trial.

Pirate helped a bit while I had some down time after all the driving.

Then a picnic watching the sunset from Barassie Shore...

Afghanistan...a different view

That link should work.

We see too much from one side of many things.

We tend to take in what we are given with little question.

Afternoon out

Started with a picnic lunch in the car in Troon for a change, a walk along the beach, large Italian ice creams, then a wander up to the harbour, returning along the ballast bank behind a huge wood processing works...logs in planks out! Then back along the beach to the car.

Opencast walk

We needed a walk...one of our friends came home in March from Spain having been diagnosed with liver cancer. This morning he died.

Back to the opencast, where much wood has been harvested and replanting is progressing. However this time it is with birch, alder, Rowan and Scots pine.

We are gradually finding our way around, learning the tracks and earmarking ones for our next walk.

Not bikes

Just because there was bike racing going on, doesn't mean that other things get ignored!!
